- To co-ordinate and monitor the scientific validity of clinical results.

The preferred means of communication of the IEWG is the Internet with its many multimedia functions. Any physician can access the information provided at the IEWG site, in a selective manner depending on his/her role in the working group (Board and Members).

Since the IEWG depends on co-operation, any scientific contributions from users, published at the site, will constantly improve the visibility of the authors in the eyes of those requiring qualified diagnostic and therapeutic services.

It will soon be possible to link up to a set of international web sites presenting, each in its own language, the healthcare situations in the single countries and the relevant projects.

The objective of the site is all-round communication on prevention, diagnostics and endovenous laser therapy, using thee different approaches:
 
- Targeting users on a popular basis
- Targeting doctors, encouraging them to promote prevention and to
   screen patients at their surgeries
- Targeting members, encoring them to develop their skills and guarantee the 
   quality of the services they provide.

The IEWG is a free association, requiring no membership fees.

The essential requisite for joining the IEWG is documented specific clinical practice in endovenous laser treatment according to the criteria standardised by the IEWG Scientific Board.
All applications will be examined directly by the Board.
